I was getting tired of waiting for companies to get back to me, so I picked the one I most want to work for and sent the following picture to them and said, "You have my resume on hand. This is how I feel about wanting to work for you."
...two hours later I had an interview scheduled for next week. So, that worked. Life is good. (And, I think I have managed to shake the funk from the other day.) Fingers crossed the interview goes smashingly well!
Oh my gosh, did you really do that?! You are seriously too cool.

ReplyDeleteI am so proud of you. This is why you rock my life :)
And this is why you're my hero.
ReplyDeleteBAHAHAHAHA! 1) I love that you did this and 2) I love that it totally worked. Katil' FTW.
ReplyDeleteThat is so great! Even greater that it worked. How fun. My husband and I were just talking the other day about how we would just love it if we were interviewers and someone would just be downright honest and tell it like it is, and we would totally want to hire those people just on that basis alone, but in real life nobody does that (including me, because I'm not brave enough. but maybe I'll start). Very fun and very good news!
ReplyDeleteLOVE this!!!! If I were the hiring person at the company, I think I'd have offered you the job on the basis of that photo alone...
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the interview...maybe take some Notebook quotes along! xx
You are basically a rock star. :)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, that is AMAZING. You are a stud.

Ahahaha Katie this just makes my heart happy.
ReplyDeleteI once quoted Neil Diamond in a cover letter. Of the two types of people in the world per What About Bob, I guess the recruiter who read my letter was the latter.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, I died laughing, I am in the job hunt as well, I wonder if this would work in the education field....
