I stumbled across The Oh Hello's after hearing one of their songs in a movie trailer a couple weeks ago. Does anyone else do that? Hone in on the song in a movie trailer or during end credits and scramble to look it up? A good soundtrack can really sell a movie for me.
Case in point: I can't stop listening to the Warm Bodies soundtrack, weeks later.
Other case in point: The only reason I survived the first (and only) Twilight movie I ever saw in theatres was because they killed it on the soundtrack. Since then, I've just looked up the soundtrack every time one of the movies comes out rather than watch the movie itself. I do the same thing with Nicholas Sparks movies. #sorrynotsorry
Anyway, I dig this song and immediately passed it along to several friends after it caught my attention. (The meggles blogged about it here! It's catching on!) It makes me want to go on a rambling roadtrip through the midwest with my windows down, shoes off and hair dancing in the wind.
Enjoy!

Thought I loved you before but that Nicholas Sparks bit sealed the deal. Kindred music/anti lame movie spirits.
Ah it is SO TRUE!!! Without that soundtrack Twilight would have just been a total stinker!! Still in love with that soundtrack.
Oooo...good new music. thanks!
Hahah, I am totally with you on the Twilight thing! I hate that their soundtracks are so good.. It makes for a false sense that the movies might actually be bearable. Ugh! Also, have you seen (500) Days of Summer? I love that movie, but I am 90% sure it's because the soundtrack is incredible.
Just a heads up that I am going to steal your button for my new "daily reads" side bar!
First of all, you are the nicest and I am so pleased about this. Second of all, adding the button is the way to earn the most points (5!) to my Shabby Apple giveaway I just posted. So you are totally ahead of the game!
Duuude my old roommate used to blast the 500 Days soundtrack all the time! It's how I fell in love with that Hall & Oates song. mmmmyes
You are very welcome!
Isn't it the greatest? I mean, the end scene where they dance at prom to an Iron & Wine song...I was like, "This isn't too awful." haha
Only the best kind of kindred spirits to be!!
